"Rough Sunset" is a series about the end of the "era" of the normative view of an object. The actors in the productions are objects that have completely lost their meaning in everyday life, including the so-called trash. It was important for me to work through this extreme. Through a stable visual image of a sunset, using photographic language, I put the viewer in front of a choice: to look or to see! This series is about a new type of perception of space. And the viewer's task is to feel another facet of an element of the environment, which is at the "sunset" stage. My series shows that it is too early to say goodbye to peeling paint, scrap metal ... The title of the series is taken from the work of Pyotr Mamonov. It is indirectly dedicated to him, this is a photographic visualization of his poetry. I was inspired by the words "rough sunset". They have music, but there is no visual series that would emphasize them. Why do people go to exhibitions, concerts? To have new experiences, to get a new experience. I know that many people have a question: how do authors make their works? It seems that the answer lies in this series. The authors made an effort – not to look, but to see new images in all this surrounding “junk”. This project, like all my other projects, makes a co-creator out of the viewer. It invites him to part with the internal garbage, to make a leap between these polar states.
